| Glycomet GP2 Tablet contains Glimepiride (2 mg) and Metformin (500 mg), and is clinically used in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to provide effective glycemic control by stimulating pancreatic beta cells to release more insulin, reducing hepatic glucose production, enhancing peripheral insulin sensitivity, and thereby lowering both fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels in patients whose hyperglycemia cannot be adequately managed with diet and exercise alone, ultimately helping to prevent long‑term diabetes‑related complications such as neuropathy, nephropathy, and cardiovascular disease. |
